Course Syllabus:
Guided Learning Hours – 122
The ITEC Teacher Training Course is a practical-based qualification intended for those
who assess both occupational competence in the work environment. Becoming a
competent tutor & assessor is the aim of the course. You will have to complete the
following to gain your qualification;
- An Assignment
- A professional discussion with the tutor /mini assignment,
- A portfolio with
evidence of two learners through a varied range of assessment techniques, - One observation of you assessing your candidates giving feedback, to the
tutor’s satisfaction.
You will complete the following units:
- Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
- Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education
and training. - Understanding assessment in education and training
- UV30563 – Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
- UV30564 – Assess occupational competence in the work environment
- UV3M 0566 – Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

- Continuous Assessment
- IQA and EQA visits (Online & In Person – ITEC Dependent) Based on yearly
school plan
