Step 1 – Introduction To Skin

The essential first step to any aspiring facialists, salon receptionist’s or general skin enthusiasts looking to acquire a basic knowledge of the workings of the skin. The course will cover all relevant theory including the structure & function of the skin, appendages of the skin, diseases and disorders of the skin, factors that affect condition of the skin, skin types and skin cancer which will be assessed on completion. In doing this course it will allow you to get a feel for the industry and potentially progress to delve deeper into a skin career. For therapists working within the industry but not specifically in skin, this will give you a basic knowledge to support your colleagues in sales and cross promotion. If any product knowledge training is required for your role this will give you the background knowledge to fully understand the effects on the skin.
