This course is designed for anyone who is returning to the craft of hairdressing, for make-up artists to use as an add on service, to perfect your blow-drying techniques, to simply be able to blow-dry and manage your own hair at home or for a complete beginner in the hairdressing industry.

Course outline:

Learners will be educated on various techniques such as:

• Client consultation
• Product knowledge and how to pick the correct product
• How to shampoo hair to support the blow-dry
• Various blow-dry looks – straight, curly, volume etc.
• Various curling techniques using hot tools
• How to finish a style
• Health and safety
• Career opportunities

*each learner is required to bring a note-pad and pen, radial brush sizes 1-4, hairdryer with nozzle, butterfly or krock clips, straightener and wand.  Each learner will need models for each look.

Career/progression: On completion of this course, learners are recommended to progress onto advanced blow-drying techniques and creative styling/up-styling courses.
